Troubleshooting
Download stuck or slow
- Open Downloads and read the status on the failed or paused row.
- Choose Check what's wrong when offered. See whether the server answered.
- Try another network if you can, then retry. Resume works only when the server supports it.
- If the file is marked unavailable, pick another model. Retrying cannot make an unavailable file ready.

Hash mismatch
Checked means the downloaded bytes match the expected SHA-256. If the check fails, delete the partial file and download again. If a website link says the file hash does not match, open the model page and start from a fresh link.
Model too big
If chat stops for memory, accept Switch to a smaller model when offered, or choose a smaller file under Fits my computer in Discover. You can also pair another computer if sharing is set up.
Firewall or local network
Downloads need outbound HTTPS. Computer sharing needs local network access between paired machines. Allow the app when macOS, Windows or Linux asks.
macOS will not open
- Confirm Apple silicon and macOS 11 or later.
- Drag the app to Applications and open it from there.
- Re-download the .dmg if it may be incomplete and verify SHA-256 on the download page.
- Use Open Anyway in Privacy and Security for a trusted test build when macOS offers it.
Replies are slow
The first reply waits for the model to load. Smaller models are faster. Choose Stop, then Try again, or switch models if progress stalls.
